Meet the Acosta family. The father, Edwin, is a truck driver. Edwin struggles to support his family and save money to send his two eldest daughters to college; a very uncommon event in Manchay. There is no money left at the end of each month. Edwin's dream is to have a stable, clean home for his children.
Emerita Bustamante has limited mobility and her shack is not easy or safe for her to maneuver. A new home would make her life much easier. She asked for an additional bedroom so her daughter can visit her.
Meet the Ponce family. Uilma Ponce, her husband and their two sons have lived in this very small shack for years. After saving to buy the property, they have not been able to afford to build a decent home.
